Busy HOT HOT Day

Craig is spending the summer w/ his uncle Kevin & working an internship w/ him.
Things have been quiet round here w/o him home.

Well... this week-end he came home to visit.
He and I enclosed my garden shed/ gazebo thing into a secondary Turkey brooder. It was alot of work in this crazy wet heat. But now 97 baby turkeys are very happy with all the room they now have.

Charles & Chris moved and rebuilt the chicken/goat yard so the ground could rest where it has been the past 3 yrs, and grass can re-grow.

Brooke spent the day causing trouble and trying to love the cats to death literally! lol

All in all it was a productive day. HOT but productive.

It rained again, so, of course, no more digging was done on the pond.
Bu with the rain came a beautiful rainbow! I just love them! so I guess its ok lol

Everyone says today 07/07/07 is a lucky day..... so I caved and bought my one lottery ticket for the year. The boys are just 100% sure we are going to win $16,000,000 tonight lol
Its a nice dream..... But thats all.

more tomorrow..... after we win lol

Rain Rain & More Rain!!

Yesterday was the 4th of July.
The boys were all gone to the bay house, so it was just Charles , Brooke & I.
Brooke and I swam in the pool and watched the fireworks the neighbors set off. We ate dinner at The In-Laws.. it was a nice quiet day.

Then... the rain came..... all night it rained... 6" of it overnight!!

The pond that is half-dug now has about 3 feet of water in it.
Just watch... after its done, and we want it to fill up.. we'll have no rain for 5 months! lol
